This session empowers STEM Facilitators to elevate the quality and impact of their programming by embedding meaningful reflection and real-world relevance into every experience. Participants will explore strategies to help students make personal and academic connections to STEM content, while also learning how to guide reflective practices that deepen understanding and engagement. Through hands-on activities, discussion, and planning time, facilitators will leave with practical tools to enhance student voice, ownership, and purpose in STEM learning.
STEM Facilitation Professional Development Series- The purpose of this series is to provide both new and veteran informal/afterschool educators alike with new tools, resources, and practices to provide high quality STEM experiences to youth in the out of school time environment. The series will engage attendees in a variety of small group, hands on, problem and project-based learning activities. Whether you are comfortable leading STEM activities or not—these sessions are for you to help build capacity in a fun, supportive environment!
