This session will provide an overview of PEAR’s Dimensions of Success tool that provides best practices to engage youth in STEM experiences. Attendees will learn about the tool, identify the best practices, and get practical practice with implementing these quality items. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of what quality STEM experiences can look like in the afterschool/informal setting across any offering and a continuous improvement resource to improve on their current program offerings.
STEM Facilitation Professional Development Series-The purpose of this series is to provide both new and veteran informal/afterschool educators alike with new tools, resources, and practices to provide high quality STEM experiences to youth in the out of school time environment. The series will engage attendees in a variety of small group, hands on, problem and project-based learning activities. Whether you are comfortable leading STEM activities or not—these sessions are for you to help build capacity in a fun, supportive environment!
