Budget Cuts for Omaha Afterschool Programs- Action Needed!
The White House has released a proposed budget for FY18 and it has been recommended that more than $1 billion dollars for 21st CCLC program be eliminated from federal funding. In Omaha, this directly impacts 31 afterschool and summer programs. Collectively, these programs serve over 6,500 students, severally impacting families that depend on these high quality experiences.
Collective for Youth and our community partners have a strong record of success when it comes to providing kids with educational opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have. Please contact your representatives to let them know that you have deep concerns over this elimination of funding.
